Objectives

The objective of the course is to familiarise students with the planning of television programs for different channels and target audiences, as well as the practical implementation of television content within the constraints specified by the client.

After completing the course, the student
- can analyse TV channel profiles, different types of programs on their contents and target audiences
- can develop and execute small-scale television content
- can plan the possibilities for using audiovisual content on different distribution platforms
- can implement a practical TV production project creatively and cost-effectively as a member of a work team
- is capable of working with defined goals according to the client's specifications and schedule
- takes into account new distribution and marketing channels, target audiences, and potential partners and their needs

Content

Television channel profiles, program types, and target audiences.
Understanding subscribers, distribution, and marketing channels.
Creative and cost-effective planning and execution of TV programs.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student recognises the profiles, program types, content, and target audiences of TV channels, but the analysis is superficial or limited. The student can participate as a team member in practical TV production projects, but there are some deficiencies in the implementation. The student identifies the constraints set by the client and their needs.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The student can analyse TV channel profiles, program types, content, and target audiences. They can develop and implement small-scale television content and plan the use of audiovisual content for different distribution platforms. They can participate in practical TV production projects as a team member while considering cost-effectiveness. They are generally able to work in a goal-oriented manner according to the client's specifications and schedule. They can take into account the needs of new distribution and marketing channels and target audiences in content planning and implementation.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student can extensively gather information and analyse TV channel profiles, program types, content, and target audiences based on this information. They can develop and implement small-scale television content and plan the utilisation of audiovisual content across various distribution platforms. They creatively and cost-effectively execute practical TV production projects as a team member. They are capable of working in a goal-oriented, client-defined, and scheduled manner. They can consider new distribution and marketing channels, target audiences, as well as potential partners and their needs.
