Objectives

The objective of the course is to familiarise the student with the key work regulations and management in the AV industry, also detailing the managerial roles and responsibilities of different professional groups.

After completing the course, the studemt
- knows the key principles defined by the Employment Contracts Act and industry collective agreements determining employment relationships and their significance from both the employer's and employee's perspectives
- distinguishes typical managerial roles in the AV industry
- identifies typical practices for assembling AV production teams
- analyses key skills of work management, including motivation, communication and resource management
- plans actions to imoplement responsibility and sustainability in AV productions

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student has deficiencies in their knowledge of the principles and significance of the Employment Contracts Act and collective agreements in supervisory work and management. The student superficially analyses the roles and skills of supervisory and managerial positions in the AV industry, including a limited focus on self-development. The student understands the principles of responsibility and sustainability, but the application is superficial.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The student knows the key principles that define employment relationships in the Employment Contracts Act and industry collective agreements and their significance in supervisory work. The student consistently analyses the roles and skills of the AV industry's supervisory and managerial positions and assesses their developmental needs. The student provides practical recommendations for implementing actions to enhance responsibility and sustainability.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student is knowledgeable about the key principles that define employment relationships in the Employment Contracts Act and industry collective agreements and can apply them to supervisory work. The student thoroughly and consistently analyses the roles and skills of supervisory and managerial positions in the AV industry and actively sets goals for their own development. The student proposes diverse, well-justified, actionable plans for promoting responsibility and sustainability.
