Objectives

The objective of the course is to familiarize oneself with the features of editing software as well as the workflow and stages of post-production.

After completing the course, the student
- knows the basic features of common editing software
- knows basic principles of audio post-production
- masters the principles of material management in post-production and image and sound synchronisation.
- knows the most common mastering formats and mastering for various presentation platforms and the purposes of different file formats.
- manages the workflow of color grading and correction.
- can create a screening copy for a movie theater environment.

Content

Basic functions of common editing software.
Organising and synchronising video and audio files in the editing software.
Workflow for color correction and color grading.
Implementing master formats and defining and creating a digital screening copy for use in movie theaters.

The student's knowledge of editing software, material management, formats, and their purposes remains somewhat limited or superficial. There are deficiencies in the workflow of color grading and correction, as well as in the creation of the screening copy.

The student knows the basics of editing software and material management. They are aware of mastering formats and the purposes of file formats. The student masters the workflow of color grading and correction. They can create screening copies.

The student proficiently and smoothly handles editing software and material management. They have extensive knowledge of mastering formats and various purposes of file formats. The student masters the workflow of color grading and correction. They demonstrate professional skills in creating screening copies.
