Objectives
The objective of the course is to provide skills for reading, evaluating, and utilizing scientific knowledge in nursing.
After completing the course, the student
• can identify, search for, evaluate, and utilize health care information sources
• understands the significance of evidence-based practice in nursing
• knows health care recommendations built on scientific evidence

• structured data search and key databases in healthcare

The student
• knows basics of the structured data search
• understands the importance of evidence-based practice in nursing
• can assess the reliability of the searched information
• identifies evidence-based clinical guidelines in health care

The student
• does not know basics of the structured data search
• does not understand the importance of evidence-based practice in nursing
• cannot assess the reliability of the searched information
• does not identify evidence-based clinical guidelines in health care
