The student
• can identify basic needs of the users and of the community which can be satisfied on building service systems
• knows the basics of planning, construction and maintenance of heating, water, ventilation and electric techniques in buildings.
• can also read plans of building services engineering and identify devices mounted in buildings.
• is able to look for and to interpret the central sources of information such as regulations and instructions of the building service systems
Content
Operating of HPVE systems and devices, various plans and symbols of building services engineering, legislation and orders of the authorities, basics of planning and construction of building services engineering in new building and renovation, operating and maintenance, energy efficiency and condition evaluation of HPVE systems.

The student is able to name the most important building systems and uses of a building.
The student recognizes the main drawings of building design plans and interprets simple building design plans satisfactorily.
The student identifies the main components of building systems.
The student is able to name regulations concerning building systems.

The student is able to name the most common building systems in a building and describe their basic operating principles.
The student will be able to interpret conventional building signs and designs.
The student recognizes the most common components of building systems and the basic principles of their design and dimensioning.
The student is able to name comprehensively regulations concerning building systems.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The student is able to name comprehensively the building systems of a building and describe their operating principles.
The student is able to comprehensively interpret building design drawings and plans and is able to evaluate the energy efficiency of systems on a general level.
The student thoroughly identifies the components of building systems and the basics of their design and dimensioning.
The student is able to interpret the regulations concerning building systems.
