Objectives
The student knows how
- describe the basic principles of the design, implementation, reception and maintenance processes of building services systems
- identify the main building services systems and their operating principles (heating, ventilation, water and sewerage and electrical systems)
- interpret building technology plans, their terminology and drawings, and outline space needs, etc. that affect other design, construction and maintenance of wooden buildings
- search for and interpret key sources of information on building services, such as regulations and guidelines from the perspective of wood construction.
Content
The course deals with the operation of building services systems and their components, various building services plans and markings used in them, legislation and official regulations governing design and implementation, design and implementation basics in new and renovation projects, building services operation and maintenance technology, energy management and equipment condition assessment. Comparison of system options. Routing, penetrations, support, sound technology and risk areas in wood construction.
