The course develops skills necessary for effective professional work in a music recording studio, including art management and financially sustainable methods.
The student is able to:
Work in a studio situation and assume a leadership role in guiding artists through the recording process at a professional level.
Set up and combine both digital and analogue hardware used in a recording studio.
Experiment with various musical and creative ideas.
Comprehend the technical distinctions and commonalities between live and studio situations.
Work with an entrepreneurial attitude.
Execute and oversee a cost-effective production plan.
Consider sustainable production methods.
Content
Recording and mixing tasks at an advanced level. The course provides skills for music producers and studio engineer’s work, including technical, musical, and social factors. An entrepreneurial attitude is considered, and the course teaches how the producer manages the recording session in a cost-effective way.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)
The student shows a basic understanding of the music production process during the recording process. The student demonstrates a good ability to interact in discussions related to the field and is good at giving and receiving feedback. The student participates in class, assigned work and reporting.

The student shows a good understanding of the music production process during the recording process. The student demonstrates a good ability to interact in discussions related to the field and is good at giving and receiving feedback. The student works actively in class and assignments and delivers well-structured reports.
