Objectives
This course covers two different but closely related professions in the music industry: music agencies and tour managers.
The student is able to:
Understand the business of a music agency in an international context
Book gigs
Acknowledge pre-production and draw the tour itinerary
Prepare the tour budget
Create a customer's travel map of the event
Content
The course aims to build a solid understanding of the business of a music agency and the role and importance of a tour manager. Professional terminology in contract negotiation is introduced. Managing a music agency and working with gig booking and tour production in Europe is incorporated. How to book gigs, build a tour in a logical order, create tour itineraries and tour budgets, and master knowledge of various taxation practices in European countries is incorporated. Teamwork, project management skills and effective cooperation in an international group and project environment are introduced.

The student demonstrates basic knowledge of working as a music agency and tour manager. The student demonstrates a good ability to interact in discussions related to the field and is good at giving and receiving feedback. The student participates in the assigned work and returns the final assignment.

The student has solid knowledge of working as a music agency and tour manager. The student demonstrates a good ability to interact in discussions related to the field and is good at giving and receiving feedback. The student works actively as a valuable member of the group and reports on his work in a structured manner. They will return the final assignment within the agreed deadline.

The student demonstrates excellent knowledge of working as a music agency and tour manager. The student demonstrates an excellent ability to interact in discussions related to the field and is excellent at giving and receiving feedback.
