Objectives
This is the introductory course and the umbrella to the Master's Degree in IPM. It researches the framework and dynamics of globalization, the macroeconomic megatrends and provides the student with concepts to detect the driving factors of future business.
When the student has passed the course he/she will know:
- the concept of globalization and its legal framework
- the mechanism and dynamics of globalization
- the impact of the trends to his/her own businesses
- the Iron Law of Globalization
- the methods to follow and analyse crucial trends
- strategies to meet the global challenges
- feasible forecasting methods and how to apply them

After completing the course the student can:
- detect the trends and challenges of globalization
- analyse business environments and apply the analysis in practice
- plan and execute business transformation concepts
- support and develop innovative structures
- find information and research reports and apply them in practice
- choose relevant forecasting methods and apply them in practice

- a specialist to detect weak signals and analyse visible trends

Content
The course is a hybrid one, a combination of class meetings and information exchange and analysis by making use of mobile devices. The content is:
- the impact and future of globalization
- implementation of forecasting methods
- independent trend research
- information sharing
- work on the Tabula platform
- preparation of a strategic plan to meet the challenge of the future
