Objectives

Students understand the effects of proper mechanical design of machine elements upon the specifications and performance of the machine. Students learn how to measure the most important machine elements using appropriate standards and procedures.

Content

Friction, wear and lubrication, rolling bearings, V-belt drives, axle joints, welds, threaded joint.
