Objective of course
Students
- are familiar with the concepts of participation, involvement and inclusion and the related way of thinking
- are familiar with risk factors that endanger participation and inclusion
- deepen their knowledge of services and work methods in social services and rehabilitation
- deepen their skills in methods supporting the social functioning ability, empowerment and involvement of especially groups at risk
- improve their project work skills

Course contents
- orientation lectures
- themes chosen from the standpoint of the working life (ageing, substance abuse, disabilities, mental health) and related lectures and literature
- creative methods (music, drama, visual arts)
- creative methods in social work in practice
- a seminar and a report

Teaching methods
Seminar, orientating lectures, theme studies, method workshops, independent information acquisition, a seminar presentation, utilisation of Moodle network material

Assessment methods
Active participation, seminar paper
