Objectives

The student
- can act according to ethical codes in multiprofessional teams, and knows how to monitor and treat women in risk pregnancies
- is able to act in critical situations during risk pregnancy
- knows how to monitor women in risk pregnancies
- knows the most common disorders in pregnancy and their treatment
- is aware of how to observe different disorders and how to act when the patient’s status deteriorates
- knows how to guide and support pregnant women and their families in pregnancy related disorders
- knows how to monitor the status of the foetus with different methods and can recognize the distress of the foetus
- knows medication of pregnancy related diseases
- is able to reflect and solve ethical problems based on the legislation, ethical codes, and principles of midwifery
