Objectives

The students recognise the passive basic components of electronics and are able to describe their functions. The students are able to explain the operation principles and usage applications of a diode, a transistor and a thyristor. They are able to define special characteristics of electronic equipment, such as interference and shielding, as a part of an electrical network.
The students are able to connect electronic components and to measure them, as well as to write reports of the measurements.

Content

Basic components of electronics and their operation. The operation of diodes, transistors and thyristors. The operation of an electronic rectifier. Switch use of transistors. Interference shielding. Computer simulation.
