Objectives

The students learn the fundamental elements of differential and integral calculus. They understand the derivative as instantaneous rate of change and as a descriptor of properties of the function. They are able to use their skills in solving technical problems.

Content

Exponential and logarithm functions and equations, derivative, calculation of the derivative graphically, numerically and by using formulas, differential in estimating errors, extreme values and examining the graph of a function, calculation of the integral graphically, numerically and by using formulas, applying the integral using the small differential method, differential function and its elementary cases, using mathematic software.
