Objectives
The students are proficient in the lighting preproduction, budgeting and creating equipment lists. They are able to work as leaders of a film lighting crew. The students know the optics needed in film lighting. The students are able to design and set up lighting equipment for studio and out-door shoots using the suitable equipment, know how to draw up an electricity plan and know the safe use of power technology in all circumstances. The students know the dramaturgic possibilities of light and are able to create desired moods by using different lighting types. The students are able to handle lighting expression by using various attachments and changes in colour temperature.
Content
Lectures: electricity and optics for a lighting technician. Exercises: Setting up lighting, electricity for a lighting technician in practice. Equipment rentals. Being the lighting technician in a short fiction production.
