Work Practice 1.Laajuus (15 cr)

Objectives

The students are able to evaluate how the knowledge gained during the studies is related to the know-how needed in working life. The students learn to set goals which support their professional development for the practical training and how to apply for a job both by using a written application as well as a web portfolio. The students know how the working life operates and its practices, such as contracts, working in a group and scheduling. The students can observe and analyse working cultures and practices.

Content

The students find a practical placement and write goals for their training. The student and the teacher guiding the training prepare a practical training contract. During the training the students write work diaries and document their tasks. After the practical training the students write a report of the training to be included in their portfolio.
