Osaamistavoitteet
The objective of the course is to provide students with the knowledge of the importance of marketing management as part of corporate strategy and management and with an understanding of marketing management process in the field of tourism. The relationship between strategic and operational marketing management will be examined and the marketing planning process will be studied. Students will be able to analyze information for marketing decisions concerning different customer markets, to develop and implement marketing plans at an operational level in tourism business and to draw up a marketing plan for a company in tourism business.
After completing the course, the students will be able to:
Analyze external and internal factors affecting marketing, use marketing information systems and manage knowledge on tourism markets.
Manage marketing management process, strategies, marketing operations and the marketing mix.
Draw up a marketing plan for a tourism business company.
Understand the role of leadership in marketing.
