Information acquisition skills
The student learns the concepts, principles and strategies of information search and he/she understands the process of information search. The student is familiarized with different search methods, databases and search services. Independent search assignments train the student to apply the information search skills in practice. The student learns to find the sources of information which are relevant for his/her information need and he/she learns to evaluate the sources of information critically.
Word processing and introduction to IT
The student learns and becomes familiar with the basic tools of word processing and the office programs. The aim is that he /she becomes competent in word-based reports and visual presentations using power point and excel. The student also has to learn the use of email and attachments .

The student will familiarize him/herself with the research process, bachelor's thesis as the case study. He/She will learn the phases of the research process, the demands and the ethics of scientific writing. The student will learn the most common data gathering and analysis methods. He/She will understand the meaning of literal expression as a part of his/her professionality and expertise.
