-knows the ranges of use and research methods of cell culture
-knows the practical working methods in cell culture laboratories

Course contents
-terminology and theory of cell culture
-use of cell culture
-equipment of cell culture laboratories
-basic methods in cell culture
-behaviour of cells in cell cultures, handling and maintenance
-primary cells/cell lines
-contamination / aseptics
-special techniques

Teaching methods
Lectures, independent study, supervised clinical training in the teaching laboratory / study visit

Assessment methods
Participation in teaching, passed written assignments, graded examination
