Objective of course  
The student: 
-is able to plan, implement and evaluate directions and other instructions used in performing and  counselling occasions concerning point-of-care tests 
- is able to do trouble shooting and service techniques for rapid POCT instruments and performance reliable POCT analyses 
- is in the know quality assurance tools for point-of-care-testing   
 
Course contents 
- use and service of  rapid goagulation instrument (INRatio) 
- use and service of rapid haemoglobin instrument (Hemocue) 
- use and service of  rapid glucose instruments (Hemocue, Lifescan One touch Ultra, Arkray Glukocard II) 
- use and service of cholesterol and triglyseride rapid instruments (Roche Accutrend GCT) 
- use and service of rapid instrument (Refletron, several analyses) 
- use and service of  urine dipstick measuring instrument (Urisys) 
- other rapid instruments for example CRP  
 
Teaching methods 
Practise in training laboratories, co-operative learning and independent assignments partly in Moodle learning environment 
 
Assessment methods 
Active participation in teaching, graded assignments and counselling situations.
