Objectives
The students know the principles of technical structure of forest machinery, and understand the importance of maintenance in improving the reliability of machines. They know the principles of various maintenance actions, and are able to take maintenance into account when making plans. The students know the possibilities of automatic data collecting in forecasting maintenance needs, and know how the controls of the forest machines affect their functionality. The students know how to instruct the machine drivers in changing the controls and storing their own control profiles.
Content
General structure of forest machines (body, motor, transmission, hydraulics and electrical systems, equipment and accessories), maintenance work and their importance for the reliability of the machine, regular maintenance and maintenance contracts, monitoring the machine through data systems and the significance of user-specific controls for productivity.
