Objectives

The students learn the basic skills of drafting, computer aided modeling and drafting, and programming.

Content

The main themes are the methods and standards to produce technical and assembly drawings (among others: projections, line types, texts, dimensioning, tolerances and fits, surface texture symbols, welding symbols, diagrams, bill of materials, machine elements, importance of quality and economy in drafting). Modeling and drafting exercises will be done with the suitable CAD-program. In addition, the students learn the basic skills of the structures of computer programs and are able to make simple programs. Programming exercises will be done with the suitable programming language and students will learn, for example, about programming environments, to read and write operations, data types and control and repetitive structures.
