HVAC Design ProjectLaajuus (5 cr)
Code: 5T00EI10
Credits
5 op
Objectives
The student is able to
- describe the different phases of designing building services as well as the principles of documenting the process
- work in a professional project
- create the necessary HVAC design documents for a particular site
- cooperate with the other designers
Content
Managing and scheduling a design project.
Documentation of planning and realisation of HVAC systems for a non-residential building. Working as a member of a project team, acquiring and passing on information at the right time. Integration of plans. Building services engineering task list.
Planning project flow diagram, documenting needs and initial information, list of documents, contents of drafts and realisation plans, permission procedures, cost-conscious selection of systems and devices.
Prerequisites
HVAC applications in Non-residential Buildings (13I252-1014) study unit
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)
The designing assignment is handed over completely but there are such a mistakes in the documents, that would lead into insufficient content of purchases or systems that are not working correctly. The progression of the project process has been insufficient.
Assessment criteria, good (3-4)
All documents handed over are well done and according to the assignment. Documents are sufficient for purchasing building services systems and systems are designed correctly. Project has progressed smoothly in the schedule.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
Student is able to demonstrate the purchases required for the systems and correctly working systems in the documents handed over. Systems designed by the student have features that points out Student’s personal talents. Student is able to deal Building services systems as a solid wholeness. The progression of the process has been smooth, organized and in the schedule.
