Objectives

The student will be able to read, create, update and maintain HVAC drawings and documents from different eras. The student is able to observe building technology equipment and solutions in the built environment and to read and produce technical documents from them. The student recognizes HVAC engineering design documents and drawing notations and knows how to apply regulations and instructions.

Content

Existing HVAC documentation regulations and guidelines. Use of CAD software in HVAC design and contracting. Documentation of the existing installation.

Prerequisites

Tools for Building Services or equivalent

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student can use CAD programs HVAC application tools to create HVAC technical documents. The work is volatile and imitative. The student recognizes the HVAC drawings in use and the usual HVAC technical documents.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The student is able to use CAD programs HVAC application tools in a wide range of standard and HVAC system documentation and design. Students work actively and on their own initiative. The student recognizes HVAC technical documents and their uses.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student will be able to use CAD programs HVAC application tools fluently and comprehensively to complete documentation and design of a variety of HVAC engineering systems. Students apply the program on their own initiative.
