The student is able to
- name and locate the main organs and structures of immune system
- determine and use immunological terms
- describe the mechanisms of innate and acquired immunity
- explain the differentiation process and main functions of immunological cells
- describe the structure of an antibody and the principle of antigen-antibody reaction
- determine and describe the most common immunological defects
- explain the basic factors involved with the origin of diseases
- explain the most common changes caused by diseases in the organ system
- explain the origin and development of inflammatory reactions
- describe phenomena related to inflammations, classification of inflammations and inflammatory cells
- explain the changes in blood vessels and circulatory disorders
- explain the classification and differentiation of neoplasms
- apply the knowledge in the professional studies in different fields of bioanalytical science
