Objectives

The students can
- implement physiotherapy based on scientific research, strong experience, and approved practices
- can express themselves both orally and in written in different and also demanding professional situations
- develop their creativity and innovativeness by producing ideas and considering and evaluating their introduction and learning to foresee future changes
- appreciate increase in self-knowledge and realize the meaning of their own personality in physiotherapy
- can apply current information and communication technology at work

Content

Course contents
- changes of working life and their effects on the working life and employees
- functions of occupational safety, occupational health care, and occupational physiotherapy, statutory nature of occupational health care and good occupational health care practice
- musculoskeletal work load analysis
- ergonomic analysis
- functional capacity and resource analysis of individuals and groups: stress, depression, anxiety, exhaustion, depression, pain and other factors decreasing the functional capacity and resources
- relationship between work and rest, activeness and sleep, physical exercise, relaxation
- promotion of resources and functional capacity by means of physiotherapy
- activities supporting working capacity
- nature, arts, aesthetics as resources
- therapeutics, awareness skills, being aware of thoughts, feelings and body, feelings in body, self-knowledge
- physiotherapy in drug problems and personality disorders
