Objective of course:
Students
-know the work of the nurse in work communities
-understand the meaning of professional encountering in nursing and are able to work in professional interaction with patients, carers and work community
-follow the values and principles of nursing in their own work
-can support, guide and activate patients´ ability to self-help
-understand the meaning of primary nursing
-can help the patient in daily activities
-can monitor vital functions of patients and recognise the need for care in these areas
-can make written nursing plans for their own patients
-are able to report orally and in written
-can use the appropriate nursing methods safely
-can work according to the aseptic guidelines
-can work ergonomically
-know the tasks of nurses related to the pharmacotherapy of patients and can use pharmacotherapy appropriately and safely
-are able to make personal learning goals and evaluate learning during the clinical training
-recognise their own development needs

Clinical training of patients´ holistic care

Teaching methods:
Clinical training, study visits, assigments

Assessment methods:
Self-evaluation, evaluation given by supervising nurse and teacher, guide to medication skills
