Objectives
The student 
-deepens her/his professional competence in nursing of children with neurological and long-term conditions and their families; 
-is able to guide and support children of different ages and their families during all stages of the nursing process; 
-is able to utilise nursing science and other disciplines to develop nursing and the work community.
                    
Content
-growth and development of healthy children 
-support and guidance of children and families, communication and play in nursing of children with long-term conditions 
-nursing of children with neurological conditions 
-medication and fluid therapy of children and adolescents 
-child and adolescent rehabilitation 
-multidisciplinary work in paediatric nursing
                    
Prerequisites
First year and middle phase studies completed, at least 135 credits, including the basic level studies in the field of the optional professional studies
