Objectives

Students understand the national and international goals for wood energy use. He/She knows the forms of wood and peat to use for and energy. Students know the basics for wood energy use and how to organize wood energy supply taking environmental aspect also into count. Students understand the importance of wood energy for timber procurement.

Content

National and international energy policy, wood energy, different kinds of wood energy and their characteristics and used amounts, peat as a source of energy (properties, supply, use), supply systems, environmental impacts, costs and establishing a heating plant for wood energy.
