Objective of course
Students
- understand the principles of chromatographic separation methods
- are familiar with the function and structure of the most common chromatographic equipments
- learn to use the chromatographic equipments in the laboratory and make chromatographic determinations
- can write logical reports- are familiar with the function and structure of the most common chromatographic equipment
- learn to use the chromatographic equipment in the laboratory and make chromatographic determinations
- can find methods in literature and apply the methods into practice
- learn to interpret chromatograms and evaluate the reliability of the results

Course contents
- principle of chromatography
- classification of different chromatographic methods
- chromatographic terminology and abbreviations
- paper, thin layer, ion exchange and adsorption chromatography and interpretation of the results
- gas and liquid, ion and supercritical chromatography
- laboratory practices with the equipment in the laboratory and interpretation of chromatograms
- writing reports
