Objectives

The aim of the course is to develop the spoken and written communication in English needed in working life.

The students cope in the business travel and social situations in English. They are able to explain about Finnish culture, climate and industry. They begin to get familiar with technical concepts in English.

Content

Telling about oneself and one’s country, small talk, presentations, basic concepts in technology, grammar

Prerequisites

English in upper secondary education or equivalent

Further information

The students have passed the course when they have been present to 80% of the classes, completed the agreed tasks and taken part in the exam.
