Objectives

The students recognise the most common measurements used when testing the operations of heating systems and the devices used and are able to use them. They recognise and are able to apply the instructions and regulations governing district heat supply systems. The students are able to independently design a heat exchange centre for district heat. They are able to compare control valves of heat transfer pipes and to apply various evaluation criteria when selecting a valve. The students are able to select cost-effective indoor and outdoor heat transfer pipes and components and their insulation.

Special cases of heat transfer systems and components, balancing and adjustments. Indoor and outdoor pipes.Value analysis and presentation of alternatives for the person making the decision. Insulation. Laboratory assignment.
