Objectives
The students recognise the basic concepts of thermal engineering and fluid dynamics. They are able to recognise how to apply fluid dynamics when dimensioning building services networks and to balance fluid dynamics. They are able to dimension piping in a closed and open circuit by using dimensioning diagrams and calculation, as well as to take into account the most common piping equipment in their calculations. The students are able to carry out the basic thermal engineering and fluid dynamics calculations and pressure losses in networks. They recognise the forms of heat transfer as well as the connection between convection heat transfer and fluid dynamics.
