Objectives
The students have an overview on the measurements and performance characteristic presentation of the HVAC systems. They know the basics of the most common HVAC measurements along with their hazard and environmental effects and are able to evaluate the accuracy of the measurements taken. The students are able to apply different measurement methods in order to find out the characteristics, basic data and needs of HVAC systems. They are able to evaluate the error possibilities of their own measurements and to use measuring standards.
Content
Advantages and reasons for measuring. Basic measurements of HVAC technology, incl. temperature, flow, pressure, noise, indoor air quality, air flows. Evaluating the reliability of measurement results. Secuarity distances. Safe working in laboratories and buildings. Utilizing standards and measurement instructions when taking methodical measurements. Assignments.
