The student is able to
- analyse and dimension different heating solutions
- design a district heating solution and apply regulation concerning it
- independently dimension a heat distribution centre

Content

Deeper insight into different heating systems and the criteria for choosing them. Guidelines and regulations concerning district heating equipment. Dimensioning a heat distribution centre for district heating. Adjusting valves in heat transfer pipes and the criteria for choosing them. Economical insulation of indoor and outdoor pipes and their components. Special solutions, balancing and adjustment of the heating system components. Value analysis and presentation to decision makers. Laboratory project.
