Practical Training 1Laajuus (5 cr)

Objectives

The students become acquainted with practical tasks of their field and will be able to apply the learned skills and knowledge. Another aim is to combine theory with practice and give the students a realistic view on the demands and practices of the field.

This course is meant for the guided practical training taking place after the 1st year of studies.

Content

Tasks and production methods, occupational safety and different practices at workplaces of mechanical engineering industry, depending on the specialisation option. Practical Training 1 familiarises the students with their field in general.

Prerequisites: Coaching for Practical Training C-8000.
The scope for Practical Training 1 is 6 cr, which corresponds to 4 weeks of practical training. The students are instructed to work for a longer period of time, but they cannot gain any more credits.
