Objectives
The students learn the physical analysis of phenomena, the application of fundamental theories to the behaviour of static and moving objects and become familiar with quantities and units.
The students learn to analyse phenomena related to mechanics of rigid bodies as well as fluids and become familiar with the physical fundamentals of thermal phenomena.
The students become acquainted with physical laws fundamental to operational functioning of various machines and devices.
Content
SI-system, modelling of motion, force and Newton’s laws, work and power, energy principles, impulse, momentum. Mechanics of rotating and rolling objects, fluid mechanics. Temperature, thermal expansion, ideal gas, heat, humidity of air, heat transfer
