Objectives

The students become familiar with the basic principles of technical documentation, symbols and drawings of electrical engineering, the basics of computer aided design and continue to learn CAD drawing by doing editing and using symbols. The stu-dents know how to interpret technical drawings and are able to communicate using them. The students familiarise themselves with the basics of the AutoCAD program, its drawing and editing features and the use of symbols.

Content

Getting familiar with computer aided documentation and its principles and learning how it differs from traditional drawing. Going deeper into the basics of CAD software. Connection exercises and documentation with the CAD program. The theory part of the course contains for example electrical drafting (sähköpiirustuskirja) through ex-ercises and lectures. The basics of using a computer as a design aid, editing proper-ties, the use of symbols.
