Objectives

The students learn to use the basic software needed in the studies and to use the services of TAMK data network. The students learn to independently search for information from the literature of the field.

Content

The use of TAMK network and the available services, data security, computer parts, networks and data communications, book exam (see literature), class room exercises, homework, MS Word word prosessing, styles, SFS standard of layouts, adding pictures and other multimedia, header and footer, tables, page setup, spell-ing tool, hyphenation and language settings, MS Excel, writing equations, opera-tors, printing preferences, layout, charts and line types, simple macros, copying and OLE between Word and Excel, MS PowerPoint, simple presentations, master slide, slide structure, adding pictures and multimedia, basics of PDF and Adobe Acrobat.
