Students
- can maintain, develop and evaluate their language skills and language learning skills
- can use oral and written foreign language skills in the multicultural working environments of their own professional field
- understand that foreign languages are keys to internationality and international labour markets as well as information acquisition
- can search information on their own professional field from different kinds of sources and understand and interpret it
- understand that foreign language skills are part of intercultural communication and human education
- attain the European reference frame level B2

Course contents
- key linguistic elements on the professional field
- communication situations required in professional interaction in meaningful contexts

Teaching methods
Authentic, experiential and cooperative contact teaching and independent work

Assessment methods
Active participation in the planning of their own learning and work forms of the course, written and oral assignments and self-evaluation. Examination and/or a language portfolio compiled during the course.

Prerequisites
General upper secondary school syllabus (A-language) or equivalent skills (European reference frame levels B1.2 - B2.1)
