Graduation Requirements
Completion of studies and achievement of competence objectives in the extent set by the curriculum.
Mode of Study
The studies during your first year focus on the basic skills in mathematics and natural sciences as well as knowing the field of bioproduct and process engineering. You will be able to work safely in a laboratory and earn your occupational safety card for the working life. You can fluently create technical reports with applied computing. You can apply natural sciences as a tool for technology and use English in professional situations of the field. You know the most important processes, products and environmental concerns of bioproduct and process engineering. During the first year of studies you learn understanding in business from the sustainability point of view by participating in Talent Valley/ BioHub- learning environment.
During your second year of studies you will learn the basic engineering skills and also the basic knowledge about the production and use of energy. You can apply thermology into practice. You will fluently use mathematics and physics to solve problems in process engineering. You know the basics of industrial processes and automation technology. From the optional studies offered by the programme you will chose the courses which influence your study path selection. In biocompentece the focus is on its significance in forest bioeconomy and its products as well as in the most important biotechnical processes in process engineering.
After your third year of studies you will be able to work as a supervisor. You know the most important unit processes in process engineering, how machines and equipment work and what the significance of running them is. You know the significance of automation and its possibilities in industry. You will be able to apply the skills from your study path in a working life project.
During the fourth year you will know what aspects are important in business. You understand the importance of quality in the success of a company and can use English in professional situations. You may choose optional modules for your study path to support your growth into an expert of your field.
